Golf Year Round

Do you like to golf? Do you live in the northern US? Have you considered moving south? Consider moving to the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. Lake Norman is just north of Charlotte. It has 500+ miles of shoreline and it is bordered by the towns of Denver, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, and Mooresville NC (Race City USA). The lake is also near Hickory and Statesville. A great central location in North Carolina. A short drive to the mountains and a short drive to the beach. But this is also a great area for golfers. Dozens of many good courses and the weather cooperates year round. This area does not suffer from weather extremes. Sheltered by the  mountains to the west the area does not get the severe thunder storms of the states to the west. Far enough inland that huricanes and tropical storms are not a threat. Golfers rechoice, golf every month of the year. January may have a few low 30 days but you will definately find good golf days during this month. So consider move to North Carolina and the Charlotte area. Plenty of other activities besides golf a fun place for the entire family.

Consider Moving South to North Carolina

Eight years ago, at age 52, I took a personal risk and left the area of my birth and moved to Statesville, North Carolina. Statesville is located about 35 miles north of Charlotte. The area between Charlotte has experienced significant growth since Duke Energy Company dammed the Catawba River in the mid sixties to form Lake Norman. The purpose of this project, of course ,was for electricity generation but Lake Norman also created a beautiful living environment. Lake Norman has more than 500 miles of shore and provides lots of recreation aHnd fantastic homesites. The towns around Lake Norman, like Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, and Denver have all shared in the benefits of Lake Norman. In addition Mooresville, also known as Race City USA, is the home of many of the NASCAR teams, Dale Earnhardt Inc. being perhaps the most popular. The Charlotte area is strong economically and continues to grow.

So, if you are retired, recently downsized, or tired of the long, cold, snowy northern winters move to North Carolina. I successfully made the transition and so can you.
